Ern(e)st Leo Abelin, born 1933 in Bern / Switzerland, studied medicine in Geneve with the focus on psychiatry and child-psychiatry; from 1965 on he worked as a researcher at the Masters Children's Center of Margaret Mahler in New York. He practiced as a psychiatrist and psychoanalytist in New York and Bern from 1969-2008. He gave several lectures and published several papers on the subject of Early Triangulation, the role of the father in the development of the toddler and his Organizer- and Triangulation Model. 2004-2008 he gave a lecture series on these subjects in Bern. Since 2008 he has refined his theories and edited his lectures and other material on this website.
